Cincinnati Country Day School offers a unique opportunity to its seniors each year: to gain some practical knowledge about college life. Twice during the second semester, all twelfth graders attend a special half-day program focusing on a different aspect of their future.
January: Maximizing the College Experience
Experience is the key word in the title of this seminar, as alums return to campus to share their experiences in such diverse college opportunities as studies abroad, internships, athletics, unusual majors, ROTC, service, and more. After a breakfast with faculty and alums, seniors attend sessions based on their interests.
April: Freshmen 101
For this seminar, administrators from local colleges address our seniors about the basics of college life: health services, the bursar’s office, student life, campus living, and safety. The day wraps up with a barbeque lunch for students and faculty.
For more information or if you are an alum willing to share your experiences, contact Jane Kairet, US French teacher at kairetj@countryday.net or (513) 979-3293.
