From Rob Harris '77
I know he didn't plan it this way but Mr. Pat scheduled a test for the morning after Game 6 of the 1976 Reds vs. Red Sox Series (Carlton Fisk's classic home run to end the game in the bottom of the 12th). Well, I really got into the game...and in turn, received a 48 on the test the next day. Mr. Pat wasn't usually at a loss for words but apparently this time he was...all he wrote under the test grade was "Wheee!"
And the junior paper...well, it led to my life's work as a psychologist. I teach a graduate level course that concerns in part, the same content that I wrote about many years ago for his class.
What I think I remember most is Mr. Pat's warmth and joviality. When he laughed, his whole body participated, and you couldn't help but smile.
