Cincinnati Country Day School celebrated the graduates of the Class of 2017 during its 91st Commencement on June 9. The ceremony for the 68 seniors was held on the North Lawn.
Jonathan B. Hall, president of the Board of Trustees, delivered the graduation address. Head of School Anthony T.T. Jaccaci made welcoming and farewell remarks.
Domenick Doane, president of the senior class, and Jack Tereck, president of the student council, provided senior remarks on behalf of their classmates. Brock Miller, Upper School science teacher, led the invocation.
Trustee and alumnus Kyle Brooks '81, parent of two seniors, introduced the 15 senior "Lifers" who attended Country Day from at least first through 12th grade: Camila Bagley, Justin Baker, Jane Brooks, Will Brooks, Heman Duplechan, Lily Hill, Tess Hoenemeyer, Sophie Hudson, Emma Isett, Ian McInturf, Jacob Nitzberg, Grace Pettengill, Hailey Spaeth, Will Swinton and Derek Yardley.
Diplomas were presented by Jaccaci, Hall and Upper School Head Stephanie Luebbers.
All members of the Class of 2017 will attend college at 40 schools across the country. Students received 310 college acceptances and were awarded $10.5 million in grants and scholarships.
