The CCDS faculty is racially and ethnically diverse. There are 11 persons of color and 8 foreign-born faculty school-wide. Nearly 72% of our entire Upper School faculty have advanced degrees and five faculty (school-wide) have received National Board Certification.
Our faculty works both in and out of the classroom to promote diversity within the CCDS community. In addition, our faculty work in conjunction with the greater community on diversity issues though programs like ACORN – the All Children OutReach Network and SEED–Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity. The goal is to help teachers welcome and respond to every child in their classrooms and to deal with each student's sensitivity regarding complex identity matters such as race, gender, or class.
