Welcome to the Cincinnati Country Day School website. While a virtual view cannot fully capture what is at the heart of a Country Day experience, our website offers an insider’s perspective into our educational community—one that values developing young minds and shaping strong character.
Founded in 1926, CCDS is an independent, co-educational day school with students from 18 months to 18 years. The school has long been recognized for its challenging and innovative curriculum, one that transcends the strictures of a typical classroom. Whether on campus or online, Country Day students are encouraged to be active participants in their learning as they prepare to move on to competitive colleges and universities. Classroom learning is designed to promote student engagement to help students develop their own ideas and voices. The school’s equally robust remote learning program, Country Day ConnectED, leverages its leadership status in technology integration to ensure a vibrant, seamless learning experience when distance learning is necessary.
Our faculty is comprised of more than 100 dedicated teaching professionals who share a commitment to actively challenge our students to help them discover and develop their passions. Teachers are not bound by teach-to-a-test mandates and have the freedom to modify their curricula to keep it educationally rigorous and relevant in a rapidly changing world.
I invite you to watch a brief video explaining the Country Day difference as well as explore our web and social media sites to learn more about the dynamic work we undertake on behalf of our students. While our digital presence conveys a sense of our commitment to preparing students for college and life, I encourage you to contact us to get a better feel for the CCDS experience. We warmly welcome your interest in Country Day.
