15 Seniors Inducted into Cum Laude Society

Cincinnati Country Day School is proud to announce that 15 members of the class of 2022 qualified for the National Cum Laude Society.

“Cum Laude recognizes the highest academic performances by students in an environment rich with academic potential and success,” said Head of Upper School Jenn Weinheimer. “While academic performance is never the whole story, these students are prepared to go beyond the readings and lessons assigned to apply their understandings and ask meaningful questions. These are the skills of leaders and as our students enter college and the work force, these questions will reveal their curiosity about the world and their deep capacity for understanding.”

The Cum Laude Society is a national honor society compromised of primarily independent schools around the country. Modeled after Phi Beta Kappa, induction is strictly based on academics. To qualify, students must demonstrate academic integrity and have a GPA in the top 20% of their class, based on their GPAs from their sophomore year, junior year, and first semester of senior year.

The students inducted this year are:

  • Zach Corbin

  • Ryan de Beer

  • Christian Fitzpatrick

  • Marissa Handler

  • Cole Harten

  • Camille Huxol

  • Shane Jones

  • Pooja Kantemneni

  • Mimi Liao

  • Victor Nica

  • Alistair Norwood

  • Margaret Sprigg-Dudley

  • Irene Wang

  • Terre Virzi

  • Sarah Zimmerman

"These students richly deserve this honor, and I know that it is a sign of their great accomplishments in the future,” said Upper School teacher Brock Miller. "It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to recognize such a talented group of seniors."
