Country Day Selects New Head Baseball Coach

Cincinnati Country Day School proudly announces Greg Tissot as the next head baseball coach.

"Coach Tissot has the baseball insight and passion for building upon the grand tradition of Cincinnati Country Day baseball," said Dennis Coyle, athletic director. "He stood out as someone who will do everything he can to know our student-athletes and nurture their leadership potential, both on and off the field."

Tissot played high school baseball at Milford High School and college baseball at the University of Findlay. In addition, he has experience coaching at Milford High School and Goshen High School. At Goshen, he led the team to the Southern Ohio Athletic Conference championship and was named Coach of the Year in 2021.

"I would like to start by saying thank you to Mr. Coyle, Mr. Zimmerman [head of school], and everyone else who set aside time in their busy schedules to participate in the interview process. I am extremely honored to become the next head baseball coach at Country Day," said Tissot. "I look forward to building relationships with the players, the faculty and staff, and the members of this community. The school’s baseball program has a strong foundation of success, built from hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. I am excited to continue building on that success and am eager to get to work."
Asif Shah '03, the school’s former baseball coach who served as head baseball coach from 2019 through the 2022 season, recently accepted the head baseball coaching position at Milford High School.  Coach Tissot’s contract with Country Day started July 21. He plans to meet with the baseball team and their families in early August.
