Four More Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

Four More Student-Athletes Sign National Letters of Intent

On May 12, at the student-athlete recognition ceremony, four more seniors signed National Letters of Intent to play sports at the collegiate level.

  • Sam Nitzberg – Wittenberg University – Soccer
  • Andon Peacock – Wittenberg University – Football
  • Ashton Snell – Wittenberg University – Football
  • Silas Snell – University of Dayton – Football

With six students having signed in the winter, and three in the fall, this brings the total number of student-athletes in the class of 2022 who have committed to college sports to 13.

"Signing Day is one of my favorite days of the year because it gives us the opportunity to celebrate these incredible student-athletes," said athletic director Dennis Coyle. "There is a lot of hard work that has gone into them accomplishing what they have. I want them to know that through the ups and downs of life, we will support them and will always be cheering them on. I just can't wait to see how they perform at the next level."

The athletics department also took the time to honor all 13 students who signed letters this year, as well as five seniors who are 12-season athletes - meaning they've played one sport, all three seasons (fall, winter, spring) for all four years of their high school careers.

The 12-season athletes are:

  • Christopher Langenbahn
  • Daisy McClean
  • Jada Moorman
  • Ashton Snell
  • Sarah Zimmerman

"These student-athletes represent what Country Day is all about," said Head of School Rob Zimmerman '98  "It's not about either/or it's about "yes and" and these students lived it out to the fullest."

Congratulations to all of our senior student-athletes.
