The Cincinnati Country Day School community is proud to announce Upper School’s Class Scholar recipients for the 2021-22 school year.
Josh Williamson (Liberty Township) was named class scholar for the Class of 2023; Marley Handler (Loveland) for the Class of 2024; and Donovan Gray (Liberty Township) and Louisa Joy (Walnut Hills) for the Class of 2025.
Jenn Weinheimer, head of Upper School and director of academic affairs, made the announcement during the Convocation ceremony.
“In announcing these scholars at the beginning of a new school year we are also reminding all of our students that each year presents new opportunities to define new goals and reach new heights in the classroom and in the community at large,” explained Weinheimer.
Class Scholar is the award for the student who has achieved the most outstanding academic record in the 2021-2022 school year, based on GPA and strength of schedule.
“To be recognized as a class scholar at Country Day is to be recognized as the best of the best,” said Weinheimer. “While academic achievement is not the only goal at Country Day, our students pursue demanding courseloads that many will later say made their college pursuits seem ‘easy.’ We are proud to have students who push themselves and who seek not just good grades but greater understanding.”
