Mary Horton is a former public relations professional and dedicated volunteer with a passion for community service. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Cincinnati.
Since enrolling their eldest son, Will, at Country Day in 2004, Mary has been an active and engaged member of the community, devoting her time and expertise to achieve a number of impactful goals. She served as a trustee from 2018 to 2024, during which she co-chaired the Enrollment and Communications Committee, chaired the Master Planning Committee, and served as a board mentor. Additionally, Mary has volunteered in support of the Country Day Fund, Admission Office, and as a representative of the Parents’ Association. Over the years, she has contributed to CountryDate in various leadership roles and co-chaired the event with her husband, Peter.
Beyond her involvement at Country Day, Mary is a supporter of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, where she is a member of the Marketing Committee. She previously served on The Children’s Theatre Gala Committee and is a past chair of the “Brunch with Santa” event.
Mary and Peter reside in Anderson Township and are proud parents of Will `20 and Reed `25.
