Advanced Placement
All students who take an Advanced Placement (A.P.) course are required to take the A.P. exam. In 2013-2017, 1096 A.P. exams were taken. The overall passing rate (score of 3 or higher) was 94%.
National Merit and AP Scholars
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation recognizes students annually as National Merit Commended Students, Semifinalists, and Finalists. The School has a long history of students who have been recognized as CCDS National Merit Scholars.
The College Board recognizes students as AP Scholars, Scholars with Honor, Scholars with Distinction, and National Scholars. Nearly 120 students from the CCDS classes of 2016 and 2017 have earned these distinctions.
