DATABASE INFORMATION

Students are linked directly to our databases while at school. Off-campus access to research databases and e-books has been streamlined so that you can use the same credentials for the majority of our electronic resources:

User name: ccdsinfo
Password: ccdslearn

This applies to all resources including ABC CLIO, Brittanica, Ebsco, Facts on File (Infobase) , INFOhio and Oxford University Press.

The following resources follow different conventions:

Gale Virtual Reference Library (GVRL)
No user name is required. Just fill ccdslearn into the field when prompted to authenticate access. Titles from this collection can be accessed through the GVRL portal or as individual titles in the catalog. In either case, just enter ccdslearn to open the e-book.

JStor Remote Access
To set up remote access to JSTOR, follow this access link: http://www.jstor.org/token/uG9C7gUxZbbziJVRGwQb/countryday.net
You will be directed to the Login/Register for MyJStor page. Click on the "Register" link to go to the MyJStor Registration page. Complete the required fields to register a unique username and password. Click "Submit" to register your account. You will be redirected to the new JSTOR main page where you can search.

Noodle Tools
The first step is to set up your account while you are on campus. You determine your own user name and password.

Turn-It-In
To register and create a user profile, go to www.turnitin.com and click on the Create Account link.
To create a profile, you must have a class ID and an enrollment password, which will be provided by your instructor. Once you finish creating your profile, you will be logged in to Turnitin.

Databases from the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton Country (PLCHC)
We link PLCHC databases from the library’s quick links dropdown menu for your convenience and include them in targeted pathfinders. They are denoted with the symbol to indicate the PLCHC membership is required. When you click on one of these resources you will be prompted for your PLCHC library card number and the last 4 digits of your phone number.

The high powered PLCHC collection is essential to top level research in the Upper School and includes resources such as New York Times Historical Newspapers, Opposing Viewpoints, ProQuest and Wilson Select Plus. All Ohio residents are eligible for the Big Red Card. It is free. GET THE CARD & GET ACCESS – it will be especially easy to enroll during their membership drive in September. Application forms are at the help desk – contact Mrs. Owens.
