8th gradeEighth grade U.S. History students explored, wrote research papers on, and created accompanying visual pieces to capture the essence of their project focusing on life at the turn of the century in America.

Students examined the myriad ways America changed from the 1880s through the 1920s. Some of the major topics include: Rise of Big Business, New Inventions, Harlem Renaissance, Women's Suffrage Movement, and the Rise of Sports and Leisure.

For the visual piece, the students created exhibition posters, clothing, virtual exhibits, 3D-printed and hand-crafted models of inventions, artwork, front pages of possible newspapers from the era, and political cartoons.
