The Cincinnati Country Day School girls soccer team made history when it won the Division lll State Championship with a 3-0 victory over Kirtland on Nov. 9. It's the first state team title for any women's sport at CCDS.

The team, led by nine seniors,Tori Keller, Chloe Webb, Katelynn Setters, Janie Reiring, Abby Maggard, Emily Ram, Alexandra Pohl, Lindsey Hoffman and Mia Lutz, finished the season with a 20-2 record, along with capturing the Miami Valley Conference Championship.

The team finished the season with 116 goals scored while only giving up 15 goals. Over the seven-game tournament run, the team scored 43 goals while only giving up one goal. Great on the field, but even better in the classroom, the team GPA was 3.5 for the 24 players. Katelynn Setters was named 1st Team All State with Chloe Webb, Janie Reiring and Kate Brock earning 1st Team All City.

This is Theresa Hirschauer's 29th year of coaching at CCDS – 26 years as the varsity girls head coach. Her record is 369-133-39. Assistant coaches are Brady Brandt and Brittany Woods.

MS Students held a pep rally to send the team off to Columbus for the title game.

Many Middle and Upper School students and parents traveled to Columbus
to cheer on the team. The support was overwhelming (and loud!)!
It was a total community effort.
