Early Childhood Parent child Swim

 

Enrolled early childhood students and their parents participate in a free introductory parent/child class that encourages parent child bonding while teaching parents how to help their child become comfortable in the water. The class provides a positive, developmentally appropriate aquatic learning experience with a focus on safety, listening skills, and fun. Learning objectives include:

  • blowing bubbles
  • paddling while blowing bubbles
  • floating on back with parent assistance
  • kicking with flotation
  • entering and exiting pool
  • submerging mouth, nose, and eyes
  • retrieving submerged objects

Parent participation is required.

Fridays – 1/10, 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 3/6, 3/13, 4/3, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29  No class on 2/14, 2/28, 3/20, 3/27, 4/10 

Time: 8:15 – 8:45 a.m.
