School Life

A group of boys and girls from the Lower School.

At Cincinnati Country Day School, we are committed to and fully embrace the belief that an equitable, diverse, and inclusive community is among our institution’s greatest strengths. We are aware and understand that this initiative is rigorous, ever evolving, and ongoing, but we also understand that it is crucial.

While we nurture an equitable, welcoming and inclusive community, we prioritize implementation of learning and experiences that equip students with the mindset and essential skills and tools necessary to navigate a rapidly changing, globally diverse, and interconnected world. We prioritize the cultivation of curriculum and pedagogy that ignite students’ ability to understand themselves, engage others with empathy and integrity, and to respect and appreciate the differences and dignity of others.

We work to create and sustain a school culture that empowers students to fully develop socially, emotionally, and academically. The mental wellness of our students is critical and directly impacts academic success. In all divisions, students participate in social-emotional learning within curricular and noncurricular programming in order to build their ability to acquire and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.

Fostering a community in which every student feels a sense of belonging and well-being through equitable and inclusive curricular and co-curricular practices further magnifies our guiding principle—to ensure a school environment where every student, 18 months to 18 years, is known and nurtured.

Welcome to Cincinnati Country Day School!
