Community

Every day brings new friendships. At Country Day, we believe we are stronger with an involved community – people who take an active part in the school as parents, students, alumni, teachers, grandparents, volunteers, and friends. Country Day is not a drop-off and pick-up community.
Our campus was designed with common spaces for community engagement. We invite parents and others to join us for coffee in the morning and a Lower School sing-a-long, attend a Parents’ Association coffee, enjoy a jog around our track or walk on our trails, take care of business through the wireless network offered in our common spaces and lounges, or simply settle in with a good book in one of our many shaded tree groves.
During the afternoons and evenings, you will find families on campus enjoying a sporting event, art exhibit in the Messer Art Gallery, play or musical performance in Keeler Theater, walk on a nature trail, or one of the multiple playgrounds and new playscape. We work hard to make sure our community members are known, and to that end, we work closely with the Indian Hill Rangers, divisional receptionists, and grounds and facility personnel to provide a safe, pastoral campus – a home away from home.
Community is where you gather as family, whether on or off campus. Some of many community events include Homecoming and FallFest, back-to-school nights, cookouts, athletic games, plays and musicals, CountryDate, winter and spring arts shows and performances, ice cream socials, neighborhood gatherings, grade-level parties, service opportunities, Multicultural Night, senior Clap-out, and much more.
A Home Away from Home
- Every parent of a CCDS student is a member of the Parents’ Association – no action needed! Just get involved!
- Founded in 1926, Country Day has many traditions that span our 90-plus year history to connect our past to the present.
- In alignment with our mission, a priority for Country Day Connect is to continue to leverage our campus as a source of connection for our community.
